ARRGGHH! Yet ANOTHER flower delivery here at work!
That now makes me the only chick here who hasn't gotten anything; this is a small office, too, so it's far more noticeable. I suppose I should be more than used to it by now, but it still stings. Maybe when I'm ninety and bedridden in a nursing home I'll finally get something. SIGH. God, I hate Valentine's Day when I'm alone!!!!

Sorry for the depressing rant, I just needed to vent.

20. So would I
I don't know why exactly; it just doesn't seem appropriate for the workplace.

19. Now, if they only had smell-a-vision
Enjoy. Don't worry, Valentine's Day is all about YOU spending YOUR money on something that will die or hang around your thighs.

23. LOL, and I've done
just that! I splurged on a pizza and a box of chocolate. It's blowing my healthy diet of the past several months right out of the water, but what the hell. It's just for one night.

3. I hear you girl.......
Same thing happened to me today. Fortunately I have the luxury of working from home, so I took off at lunch for my home office where I plan to order take-out tonight and wallow in my single-ness.

4. I know what you mean,
I'm gonna forego my healthy no-junk-food diet I've been on for the past several months, buy a box of chocolates, go home, soak in a hot bath, and gorge myself. With NO guilt!!!!

6. Exactly.
Although that was the one good thing today. Russell Stover is a client of mine and my rep sent me 3 boxes of chocolate. Like I need 3 boxes! One is going to mom and one to grandma. One will stay here with me - of course!

Enjoy the bubble bath and be thankful because it could be worse. You could be in some crappy relationship and spending the night with a dud.

10. Very true, it is better
to be single and alone than stuck in a bad relationship, no question. All the flowers in the world don't make up for that.

You can never have too many hugs, that's for sure. And now I'm going home, soaking in a hot bath, and gorging all I want on chocolate; normal healthy diet be damned!

24. That's right!
I was very pleasantly surprised by that, I hadn't expected any at all. I enjoyed giving some out, too, that was even better. And a hearty, heartfelt thank you to the six of you who are responsible! I have some idea of who they are, but I'll let them tell me if they want to.

25. Psst. Next year, buy them for yourself.
I did that last year. Felt great. Got myself a nice little live rosebush and it's still in the yard! Acted all mysterious and shit. Thought about doing it again this year, but decided to spend the money on a massage instead.

sounds wonderful right now! Probably should have gotten that instead of blowing money on a box of chocolates and some bubble bath. Ah, well, at least next year I'll know better!
