This Valentines Day is a very sad anniversary for us.

It was one year ago today that Sweet Sirius was diagnosed with cancer. He was a trooper. He went through chemo and surgery, but succumbed to the hemangiosarcoma on August 25, 2005. On that last day of his life, Sirius did what he loved so much. Sirius rode sitting in the passenger seat of his Subaru as we came down out of the NC mountains, on our way to the Upstate Veterinary Clinic in Greenville, SC, with me driving and singing to him. Some of the time he laid across the emergency brake lever, with his head in my lap, as I scratched his ears and sang softly to him. At 12:17 that day, Sweet Sirius left us.

I know your pain. We lost our faithful friend Labor Day weekend...it still hurts terribly.

7. DemoTex, I cannot believe that it has been a year...I remember

reading your posts about sweet Sirius. Your posts really hit home with me because we had to put our sweet Border Collie, Cody, to sleep on June 12, 2005.

Rest in peace Cody and Sirius...you are missed.
