148. I hope so too
I really do. I try not to bug him too much, meaning I am not sending him text messages every day or call him all the time. I let it go slowly. That is why this message yesterday was so important to me. It showed me that he is still interested even though I haven't heard from him since last Wednesday. I just think that if he wouldn't be interested anymore he wouldn't have sent me that message with those words "My heart is yours" and "Your superman". Do you understand what I am trying to say?

153. I talked on the phone with him last Tuesday
that is when he answered his cell with "Hi sweetie" and gave me his home phone number. Wednesday I called and asked if he is off the that weekend. He had to work. He also told me that he is really busy that week. Wednesday I called him around 7pm and he just came home. I called him yesterday also after 7pm and he wasn't home yet. So I do believe him when he says he is busy.

I can't go that long myself that is why I called. I just try not to overdo it.

actually he asked me last Wednesday when I am home that Thursday. But on that day I went to the opera with some friends. So I take it as a good sign that he wanted to call. I don't know if I get around to call him tonight because I help a friend to pick up a cat she is going to take care of for a month. And she will call between 7 and 8pm. So maybe I try again tomorrow. I will see.
I told him I have b-day Friday. Maybe he remembers :)

but I doubt that it's really warmer there. Theoretically, it should, but only if you have a small sized lake as a pond. But I have them for 4 years now and it was always fine. here's one of them, 'Winky.'

94. No, you don't want a Koi pond ...
;) Because you will build one and fill it with Kois, and the next year you will build a bigger one, and, and ... It's pretty addictive and also high maintenance. And in your climate, you'd have to feed them (and they eat good and not cheap) all year long, with filters and stuff running.

My best friend (who got addicted to them seeing my pond) is now extending his pond for the third time.

4. Good morning Clintmax!
It wasn't romantic (kids were involved) but it was fun. My son (7) needed daddy to take him out so that he could "get something done", and that something was going out to get something for Mama that he had seen the other day. :) We had a very nice time, glad you did too!

Today, I am working on an appraisal that is like a bad penny...it just keeps coming up. Sigh...I'll be glad to see the end of this one! Have a great day!

We're on Latin anthems by Thomas Tallis (he was around during the time of Elizabeth I F.Y.I.), currently 'Loquebantur variis linguis'.

29. They do work very well.
Especially because of the high renaissance style, different singers are singing different words at any one point so the word don't distract. The very best for me though is organ - I've really got to get to work ripping the Bach organ works (they take up 20 C.D.s just by themselves) as they are very good at aiding concentration.

51. The most famous is probably Spem in Alium - which is gorgeous.
But anything by him with a Latin title should be good - indeed his English anthems are gorgeous too.

That collection means all of the organ works which Bach ever wrote, given that he was an organist who lived to 65 it's not really shocking.

This collections manages to get it onto 17 http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000041KD/qid=1140002887/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_10_1/026-2462542-1350028

His complete cantatas are easily pushing 100 C.D.s - he had to write one each week, actually starting with drawing the lines on the page, hand-writing each copy for the singers and instrumentalists, rehersing all so it was ready for Sunday morning.

34. As long as you can make the mortgage payments, then yes, .....
...you should purchase a home. As soon as this disaster leaves the White House, the rates that have been artificially kept low, will start to rise. If you can get into a home, do it now. Also remember, you are just pissing your rent away. Once you get a mortgage, you'll be able to write your payments off as a tax deduction. Also, if you or your partner work out of your home, or are thinking about running a business out of your home, then you can write off almost everything you purchase for that home. Just some things to to think about.

48. Actually, it's the interest on your mortgage payments you can write...
...off, but that's what you'll be paying for a long time, to begin with. They front load the interest payments, so you really want be paying on the principal for a long time. This is what I do for a living. I rehab old or foreclosed homes, and resale them. That way, I'm writing off payments for my home, and the one I'm working on. The Repukes have been trying to end writing off a second home. Just another example of how they are trying to screw the average guy, so that billionaires can get a tax break. I lose mine, so that they can maintain theirs....:grr:

If you want ALL the gruesome details, I went and bought wood for the planter box yesterday, but it's supposed to rain soon, so all I can do tomorrow is apply the water seal to the boards, and maybe predrill the holes for the screws.

Day after tomorrow I can assemble the sides, but I probably won't be able to put it all together until monday or so after the rain has stopped. :(

How are things with you?

Romantic night indeed. I spent $620 on my car (not to mention 2.5 hours at the dealership). On the way home I figured I might as well treat myself to some Chinese takeout so I wouldn't have to cook when I got in at nearly 8:30pm. I got some Buddha's Delight and veggie fried rice, and even have leftovers for tonight.

49. Morning Clintmax
Had kind of a hellish day yesterday...Too much to do with not enough time. Plus my scorekeeping duties for my son's hoops team were complicated by the other team's coach being in my face for the entire game. The team is no longer undefeated, they lost the game last night by one point. Both my son and I can handle the loss, but it is the fact that one of the other team's players (the one who happened to be their second best shooter) got away with a bunch of unsportsmanlike conduct throughout the entire game. Even the other team's scorekeeper (who was running the clock) told me that he felt he should have been ejected.

Oh well.

102. Good Morning Clintmax!
I slept well too. Hooray! That's one good night in a row. :bounce:
I hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day!
Hubby gave me an email for Valentine's Day- a love letter, just what I asked for. It is titled "The Redhead" and it is adorable. It chronicles our lives from our first meeting and includes all the highlights. It is funny and sweet and JUST what I wanted. I love him very much.
AND... My big sister wants to take me on a cruise to Bermuda for my birthday this year. Yay big sister! :bounce:

137. No, I swam yesterday morning,
knowing we'd go out for a big dinner last night. I would sink to the bottom of the pool this morning! Plus we finished a bottle of wine between us so I'm just a little bit dull around the edges today. I'll have some coffee as soon as I get to work.

I only need to work half a day. I will bring champagne and brownies to work. We gonna sit together for an hour or two at lunch time and then I can go home. Late afternoon my mom and her bf are coming and we going out for dinner in the evening. We picked a Persian restaurant. Need to go by today after work and reserve a table. Saturday we are going to do something in Frankfurt and Sunday they will leave after a late breakfast I guess. It will be a nice weekend.

Yes, b-days are about ourselves. We better celebrate us then if it ain't possible on other days

147. Blind Ukrainian needs glasses.
:wow: She'd been having trouble with her eyes, and needs glasses :wow: I would never have guessed. :eyes:

I'm actually feeling sorry for her, her boss has been messing her around a bit (not intentionally) but then she refuses to speak to him about it...she'd definitely switch jobs if she could, but because of her visa that becomes very difficult for the moment.

But it's nowhere near as bad as yesterday (not least because she's only been in the office for about quarter of an hour), I was very appreciative of having two gorgeous hunks cheer me up then  :loveya:

Did you have a good time last night?

180. Well, it's nursery school rude
not adolescent rude. There are much more crass ways of saying the same thing.

So MAHNY was cheering you up yesterday, wasn't he? He is quite a charmer. I'm not sure how he missed the Brokeback Mountain Cowboy display thread. Now, which do you think, I was the only one that saw what I saw there, or just the only one to comment on it?

But I wouldn't have seen it had you not mentioned - so it's all your fault, and your dirty mind. :spank:

186. Hah! Coffee and a spanking
That should get me up to speed! I finally remembered to bring some of my own tea in today. It's nice they have tea for us (really) but it is some generic "Coffee Concepts" teabags with a plastic lead that ALWAYS tears the bag when you gingerly separate it from where it is GLUED to the side of the bag. (This concludes today's mini-rant against the manufacturer, not my employer.)

And now, if I were good, I should vanish from DU and concentrate on the work before me.

But you never know.

187. That sounds horrific.
The tea-bags I mean - we have tea-bags, instant 'coffee' and decaf instant 'coffee'.

I have a supply of ground coffee and of green-tea (no damn bags), along with a single-mug coffee filter and a Japanese tea-mug.

I've actually got some work done this afternoon :wow: but the alternative was lots of irritated employees chasing me for their money....

I'm now very tempted to send you a "work warning" P.M. just to make sure that you're distracted from work
