5. I agree
but at the same time, if you KNOW you're going to a place where there's asshats like the above guy, do not be suprised if they stare or make a snide comment.

That doesn't make it right, but if you run around the house with a bucket of gasoline and a lit match, don't be suprised if something catches fire.

7. Where *aren't* there asshats like that guy?
Edited on Fri Feb-17-06 09:17 PM by Oeditpus Rex
At stuff like motorcycle rallies and NASCAR events, they're just much more overt.

Edit: Thinko. :eyes:

13. Lots of places
I go to them every day. I work in a place like that. I also choose to shop in a place like that, and live in a place like that too. In fact, I honestly don't have any male friends that ogle women. And if they do, they keep their opinions to themselves, which is where they belong.

There's certain parts of town I don't walk in at night for the same reason, because I know that somebody who looks like me (white male, middle-class-looking, 30s) is probably going to get harrassed (at the least) or mugged or beat up (at the worst).

Yeah, it's wrong to stare at a woman, but at the same time if you deliberately dress to provoke a reaction, don't be suprised when it comes.

6. That's an apples vs. oranges comparison.
Or, perhaps, a grapefruit vs. melon comparison.

I have a few just like it hanging up in my closet.

I could spend a lot of money there. I'm a sucker for fitness/exercise clothes.

14. That's low-cut?
I guess I don't see it. There's nothing provocative about that. If some asshat is staring at a woman wearing that, he needs to be "reprimanded" in any way appropriate.

16. Thank you.
It just doesn't look like it's that low cut.
I've got some blouses hanging up that go much lower than that.
