I love to post a thread and then just completely abandon it

Not responding to anyone but watching its progress. Is this poor threadiquette? Like if I posted a thread titled "Too bad there isn't a personality bustier," should I carefully respond to everyone, leave out those whose responses displease me, reply randomly, or let the thread die without further input from me?

4. Sometimes, I feel that the thread is going well without me

I always read all the responses to my threads even if I don't respond. It seems that most people here do expect the original poster to respond to the thread though.
Sometimes, I am not sure which posts to respond to either especially if several of them said similiar things.
