Good Saturday Morning, Everybody!
:donut::hi:
Here we are at another weekend! :woohoo: I hope you had a good nights rest and you're ready now for a lot of fun the next two days! I have to work today, and a crazy shift too (12 - 8), but I have tomorrow off so I can at least have one of the two days for fun! What do you have planned?

My new car is freakin nice! :bounce: I LOVE that thing, let me just tell ya! Pictures of me with it are forthcoming so stay tuned!

Let's get this weekend started! :bounce::bounce:

:hi::hug:
After I got off work yesterday, I did the grocery thing, so that part is all done. I need to do laundry also and some house cleaning. I'm not sure I want to spend what little time off I have this weekend doing all the manual labor stuff around the house...know what I mean? :rofl: Have a great day too, my dear! :loveya:

We're heading up to the farmhouse this morning to measure windows and wander the town. I'm looking forward to it.

12. Good morning Clint.
:hi:

Do you mean to say that you've been thinking about getting a new car? I would never have known from your posts over the past few days. ;)

I'm on Dum Transisset Sabbatum by John Taverner. Interestingly there is currently living a composer called (Sir) John Tavener - whereas Taverner lived a few hundred years ago, quite some coincidence that two chaps with only one letter different between their names would both be composers, the pronunciation is nigh-on identical too.

I guess YOU'RE saying I'm droning on and on about my new car. I can't help it, Dude. I'm so excited. I'll try to tone it down about the car from now on I promise.

That IS quite some coincidence with those two composers.

18. I'm just giving you some gentle joshing.
Drone away - you're certainly not boring me.

I'm sitting her at the kitchen table looking out at some birds at the feeder we've got in the garden - it's utterly idyllic.

I can't stay for much longer though, I've got to see the optician in a while.

I was ribbing you back a little too. My mom has a feeder outside one of her windows also and she loves to watch the birds eating. It's very peaceful.

Time to get your eyes checked, huh? I just had mine checked last month...no changes! :woohoo:

24. It's lovely to have nature around one.
Yes - I've got my annual contact lens check, and 2-yearly sight-test.

I'm not sure if I'll need new glasses or not...part of me would like to get some, if I can find frames which I like (I'm a very picky sod).

Then it's on to a late lunch with my sisters.

25. I don't like to wear glasses.
I wear contacts exclusively, but I always get a pair of glasses just for a backup. I can never find a pair of frames I like either because I'm so damned picky. I think it will have to be one of the frameless kind next time.

26. I go half and half.
I've received several compliments about how I look in glasses (unfortunately mostly from women), but contacts are much easier - I wear disposable ones and so just have to put them in first thing, then take them out and throw away at night. Every 2 months I get a pack of 30 pairs of lenses through the post, paid for automatically out of my bank account - things couldn't really be simpler.

27. I wear disposables too.
They really ARE the easiest! The only time I wear glasses is when I'm between lens changes. You change lenses every single day? That has GOT to be expensive!

28. Not too expensive.
£16 per month (roughly $30), obviously it would be double that for full-time wearing of them. That includes the initial fitting, unlimited after-care, sight-test every 2 years (which would only be about £20 anyway), and a reduced price when I buy glasses.

Hope that you kick the cold into touch pretty quickly.

Go and eat 50 oranges and 10 lemons - should give you plenty of vitamin C. Then have a bar of zinc (but be careful that you don't break your teeth on it).

Woke up, couldn't go back to sleep, so I'm watching the Stones' Bridges to Babylon DVD, and in particular, "Sympathy for the Devil". Somehow, I think of Cheney when I hear that song.

36. Morning Clint!
Can't wait to see the photos of your car, and I hope you weren't pulling our leg. I want to see you inside, and maybe some driving ones!

It's extremely cold here temp is minus 16 with minus 34 chill factor. Was going to take my cat to the vet, but I'm putting that off for a warmer day. She's getting on in years and I don't want to expose her to that kind of cold. I was going to go x-country skiing today, but I just may have to rethink that. Maybe if it warms up latter on . . . I'm a little bummed about that, but then again there's always tomorrow.

With so few non-work hours this weekend, I think you should just set them aside for fun. The rest of the stuff somehow gets done.
Opps, coffee's done. Gotta go run and get me a cuppa!
