Poll question: Most Annoyingly OVERPLAYED Song of all time
Edited on Tue Feb-21-06 01:53 PM by Yollam
Most Annoyingly OVERPLAYED Song of all time.

You don't have to dislike the song - Just a song that you've heard so damn much that you would just as soon not hear it played on the radio again, EVER.

1. For some reason, whenever I flip the radio dial around, I hear
that John Mellancamp song "Small Town." You know, "I was born in a small town. I learned to walk in a small town. I took my first crap in a small town ..." :grr:

2. U2 is possibly the most over played band over the past 25 years
I'd probably like their music if radio stations and other media weren't playing their stuff constantly.

7. I'm Just grateful they don't overplay "In the Name of Love"
...since it's one of my favorites. I basically like U2, but agree they are way overplayed.

Same with Eurythmics. I love them, love Annie Lennox, but if I never hear "Sweet Dreams" or "Why" again, it will be too soon.

I think "In the Name of Love" is overplayed, and I don't dislike the song myself. I guess the playlists in our respective cities of residence differ from each other.

Funny, I thought all the radio stations were basically all in one closet in LA by this point...

At least the stations are differentiated a bit by region.

But It's sad that they never play songs from the past that weren't in the top ten...

they were appearing in Vegas together and Texas oilman was in audience and said he would subsidize him to write music... and thus the song.

How does that differ from the mutilation of any song, that she calls singing? Her and Celine are clueless on how to use their terrific gifts. (Mariah too!) Great voices. Lousy singers.

and the Sundance Kid" came out, most radio stations in America switched to a format of all "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on my Head" 24/7 for the next 8-10 months.

Anytime, anywhere you turned on a radio those stupid words kept blaring out at you over and over and over and over.

Never again, my friend, never again.
