I am an instrument maker.

I fabricate large scientific instruments.
I'm just a shop rat. I machine and shape metal
to make components for optical telescopes.

As you can see by my avatar, I am interested in solar astronomy,
as an avocation as well as a vocation.

In my work, I have crossed paths with some prominant and innovative
scientists and engineers.

The 'off campus' research is most intriguing.

They are ready to send a man to the sun.
