Why do you drive slow in the ...
left lane? Are you one those that as soon as they get on the highway they shot for the left lane than then park it? Tell us about it. Are you on the phone at the same time? Do you ever wonder why people are passing you on the right?

2. No, I followed that dickwad tonight, though
driving 50 in the left lane, on an interstate, when the rest of the traffic was doing 60, minimum. I was trying to get to the pharmacy at my clinic before they closed, and damn near didn't make it.

There's a special place in hell reserved for those people, IMHO. :grr:

I work very hard to stay out of other people's way. I hate driving now because it's a big chore and obstacle course. x(

4. No
What often happens is that I get in the left lane going 70 (speed limit 65) and people still pass me on the right. I don't drive slowly in the fast lane-why do you have to drive so fast that no one can share the road?

5. Nope. I do THE SPEED LIMIT in the SLOW lane.
Edited on Fri Feb-24-06 08:52 PM by Strong Atheist
The ONLY times I get in the left lane are (briefly) to pass, or when there is a left exit ...

Well, I'm one of the biggest assholes on the road.

7. Only if I need to be in the left lane to turn in the right spot
I usually try not to go slow but if I don't know exactly where the turn is, I might be going slow a short distance before I actually get there.

10. I never do that........
I will only go in the left lane when I'm prepared to drive like a bat out of hell!

Otherwise, my lane of choice is the next one to the right of that...the number 2 lane.....

And no to the cell phone too......my passenger can use that!

12. You should get those ear thingys
for your cell phone. That's what I use when I drive. It's state law in CT. :hi:

14. My dear bigwillq!
I probably should.....but I do find that using the cell phone while driving does interfere a bit with my concentration.....

The earphone thingy isn't law yet in California, but the day is most likely coming....

15. Talking and driving
never really seemed to bother me. I don't really see the point of the ear thingys because the only time I am ever fidgeting with the phone is when I am trying to dial, not trying to talk.

11. I try not to
However, I'm sure I piss people off from time to time because I try not to speed too much even when passing someone. I consider 75 mph (when the speed limit's 70) a suitable passing speed, but the asshole tailgating me who wants to go 90 (and will, as soon as I've passed and moved back into the right lane) obviously doesn't think so!

16. How about entering the freeway at 45 mph?!!!
I hate trying to merge onto the freeway, when the idiot in front of me is going so slow. It's down right dangerous to do that!

17. Hotler, you read my mind.

That's my pet peeve. It's just so rude. It's like if a person is walking down the sidewalk in a hurry (like they need to use the bathroom or something), and you're intentionally blocking them. I go really fast, and I still ride in the right lane unless I'm passing somebody.
