7. I've had close encounters with molesters

and it is a very scary situation to be in. I thank my lucky stars that nothing truly bad has happened to me. Because of my Asperger's I was and still am pretty vulnerable to sexual solicitations, forced or unforced. My mother was pretty tough with me regarding strangers and such.

As someone mentioned in the now-locked thread, how just how fuckin' young do they have to be before these "where was that teacher when I was a kid?" people think it's bad? It's attitudes like that that let the Catholic Church get away with labeling 7-year-olds as acting "seductively."

What makes me so mad is that every time one of these stories surface, we get a dozen or so posts saying, "Where was that teacher when I was a kid?!" And then, inevitably, there's a handful of posts trying to justify that stance, saying it's different for boys, blah blah blah.

Honest to God, I see red whenever that shit starts up. I need to not tap onto those threads anymore.
