Good Tuesday Morning, Crew!
:donut::hi:
How are you today? Welcome to the Early Morning Crew for this last day of February! :bounce: We got through Monday, so it's clear sailing from here on out, says I!

I had a rough day yesterday at the store. I pulled a muscle in my back back lifting a 130 pound glass table top, and so now I'm a little sore. x( I'll be OK, but it's my own damned fault, lifting the stupid thing by myself. Aleve...here I come.

Are you ready to get this day started? Me too. So let's do it! :bounce:

104. It depends.
I'm normally reactive in my beastliness.

Mad Ukrainian office-mate does things like leaving the door open (thus causing a draught - then she complains that it's cold :eyes: ), and so we respond by removing her telephone, unplugging her keyboard......

If she's well-behaved than so am I normally.

38. Oh, does he have to do lots of desk checking, then?
Programmers like me have no idea what it used to be like in the old days of batch processing, when you submitted your job for the mainframe to process overnight. You had to check your code at your desk by hand to look for mistakes!

Ever since interactive computing came in programmers have become very lazy. Now we just write code and run it straight away to see if it works!

If I'm cleanin' it up I expect a good tip, not the average....

Her 20% tip was a complete insult to me.

Anyway it's a new day... Off to work soon to hope for a 20% day with no projectile warfare. :)

is my money night...

I've never had a good Sunday or Monday...
On Sunday the patrons have already given their money to the collection plate and on Monday they just don't want to cook.

With luck I'll be a bartender by Friday night. :)

139. It's another name for Shrove Tuesday.
and an old mediaeval custom.

Back then folk would be expected to give up butter and eggs during Lent so to use up the ingredients before Lent starts tomorrow they would make pancakes. The tradition of eating pancakes today is still very strong (though I don't know anybody who's going totally vegan for Lent...).

But here's to eating pancakes. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

57. My chiropractor doesn't do the bone-cracking manipulation
she uses ultrasound and an "activator", which basically clicks nerves and muscles back into place - totally painless.

But I've tried to lift things without thinking - and of course regretted it afterwards. Just take it easy and you'll be fine - get Greekspeak to give you a massage.......

105. Oh, I've just been over in LBN listening to a bunch of stupid comments...
...that makes me wonder why I don't ever use my IP feature. Oh well, maybe I'll do a poll to see who uses and who doesn't. I could easily be talked into using it...

Hope all is well!....:toast:

I couldn't be a night hawk. I live by the "early to bed, early to rise..." motto. Don't take any wooden nickels...wow...I haven't heard that in AGES.

121. I love Looney Tunes!
I rented on of the "Golden Hits" DVD's a couple of weeks ago...you know the ones...when you buy them, there is like 3 or 4 DVD's inside with 100's of cartoons...well, Hollywood Video deicded to separate them so you had to rent each individual one instead of the set. x( I hate those guys sometimes.

123. Morning Clint!
I swear, your morning crew gets larger and larger with each passing day. And you sure do have some early birds.

Sorry to hear about your back. Ya know, I just happen to have a bottle of Aleve here, care to have some?

Volunteered tonight for Marti Gras. It's a fund raiser type thing. I'm excited to go and it should be a lot of fun.

145. You should get
a commission for the Aleve Company!

Yes, dollars are being raised for all sorts of projects. Women's shelter, tutors for at risk kids, etc. And everyone has a good time.

though I prefer Flexall (it's an OTC gel)

Right now, I'm enjoying a large, steaming hot mug of coffee :)

:donut: :hi:  Wow -- sorry about your back! I did that at work once, lifting a computer. It wasn't heavy, but I did it wrong ... couldn't go back to work for a week. Ouch!

Glad we got through Monday, though. Now for Tuesday. :bounce:

It's good to see you today! I did it wrong too, I think. I've always tried to lift with my legs, but the damned thing was so heavy I think it would have been a problem no matter. How's the house doing? Anyone present any offers yet?

156. Well, it was a stressful weekend.
The people who came Friday afternoon said, right in front of us, that they were going to make an offer. We were SO excited! So, they left and our realtor called a few minutes later telling us not to go anywhere. We waited around for a few hours. Then he called again ... the other realtor couldn't get in touch with his clients. That was strange -- if they're making an offer, why aren't they TOGETHER? Finally, our realtor called back and told us we could go out or whatever, but by then it was after 9:00 and we were tired. Saturday morning, another call. They wanted to know if we could take it off the market for two weeks so they could get their act together. Jeez! And they were going to offer us $35,000 below our asking price. :banghead: Of course, our realtor didn't recommend it.

Some other people came Saturday and Sunday. The Sunday one liked it, but wants to come back with her husband ... but hasn't made an appointment yet. No word from the Saturday ones.

I'm about ready to lose my mind. Way too much stress.

159. GRRR!
Asking you to take your house off the market while they "get their act together" is wrong. That's like saying they want you to sell to only THEM. Yeah, right. :eyes: Some people are just stoopid. I'm sorry you're having such a rough time, my dear.

163. What gets me is
the paper has an article in it EVERY DAY now telling everyone how the market is cooling, etc. They need to STFU before they make it self-fulfilling. The buyers think it's OK to act like that if the paper tells them it's a buyer's market.

Don't worry, I'll be in a better mood one of these days. Thanks for putting up with me.
