I hate going home to an empty house
My son is going to go to church w/ his friend tonight, and then to his friends house to watch wrestling.

I suppose I should get used to it.... he'll be gone soon enough and I will be alone w/ just the cats.

I just wish I had something fun to do, or someone nearby to visit.

It stinks when you commute so far to work. All your work friends are far from your home, and you're not in your home town enough to make friends there.

*sigh*

3. no, I didn't
but he's back in his part of the country anyway.

That's the sad thing about going to that one pub that I go to (where my friend works). The other people there are all from out of town.

I suppose I could have gone out anyway, and just left it as a night out w/ a nice guy, but honestly, as nice as he was, my heart wasn't it in. I get up VERY early every day, and starting a date at 8:30 on a weeknight is asking for trouble.

I know--excuses, excuses.....

2. Sounds like you need a hug, millie.

Personally, I'm jealous of anybody who has the house to themselves. Sounds great to me! It's all about perspective...

Read any good books? Write in your journal? Take a hot bath with a glass of wine, light a candle, listen to music, watch some tv, call your best friends....the possibilities are endless.

:hi:

4. True enough
It's not that I feel unloved... just old I guess. I remember when I would come home and make dinner for my son, and watch TV w/ him. He's growing up. I suppose I should have been ready for that. lol

5. I understand.
It's weird watching them get older, b/c that obviously means WE'RE getting older, too! Everything changes.....so we might as well embrace it.

Easier said, than done, though.... :eyes:
