Retail stories
Anybody have any hilarious or maddening retail stories?

This didn't actually happen to me but my friend works at an electronics store and they have this crane-like machine that helps lift heavy items from top shelfs. Anyway, there was a large stack of styrofoam squares sitting in the aisle. The crane knocked the squares over and next thing anybody knows, there's a pile of styrofoam with a hand sticking out. So workers frantically go to dig out the poor guy buried underneath the styrofoam. Needless to say, he was enraged and demanded free things. Just the image of a hand sticking out underneath a pile of styrofoam is classic.

1. I worked at GNC.
And, we would get the craziest range of customers: freaks, geeks, hippies, the rotund and preppies used to come in. Well, this guy named Brian came in as I was working with who is now a soon to be U of Ark football player, he nods and I wave, he's a usual. Finally, I get to him and ask him what he needs, but Brian is busy checking out the kid's stuff and finally says after buying his Soy Protein and Flaxseed that "Creatine's for guys that have small penises and need big muscles." It wouldn't have been so funny if the kid hadn't flipped him off, but it was even more hilarious since his mother was willing to drop down 750 bucks on supplements.

4. I've worked at the Art Institute of Chicago gift shop, The Great
Frame Up and American, Science and Surplus in my years of retail hell. I have *lots* of stories. Working in retail sucks chickens.
