Whatever happened to the Mt. Dew Under The Cap games??
Edited on Tue Mar-14-06 01:50 PM by SmileyBoy
Some years ago during the late winter/early spring season, Mountain Dew/Pepsi had a contest where they would have all playoff-eligible NCAA Division I basketball teams appear under bottle caps of Dew or Pepsi throughout the country, and the persons with the team that won the whole thing would win a hat and be entered in a drawing for $100,000. I remember they had one year where if you got a "WILD" cap, you won an authentic team jersey from a pick of a few dozen major teams. I pulled out a WILD one day, and was ecstatic. (That's where I got my North Carolina jersey)

Why don't they have this game anymore?? I remember buying lots of Mountain Dew in high school during that time of the year only to find Centenary and Mercer and Southern Utah and Middle Tennessee State and teams like that under my caps.

1. I loved that game.
I thought i was a lock when I had caps for Duke, Kentucky and Kansas. Nope. But I bought tons of MT Dew for that very reason. I wonder why they quit.
