I love my new house...but I hate my new house
There is exactly one micron of a millimeter's difference on the thermostat between it being like the frozen tundra of Antarctica and the very molten center of the earth's fiery core in here. I'm going to be very happy when the weather turns nice enough here in Wisconsin for the windows to be open. Y'know, in July. :eyes:

3. Maybe you ought to have that checked out?
Sounds like you have some sort of problem with your thermostat/heating system. I am sure a professional could make you more comfortable. My Dad had a digital programmable thermostat installed and it works great- just dial in the temperature you want.

6. I was just gonna say that -- makes a world of difference!
And, get a set-back thermostat, too.... cut my electric bills (I have a heat pump).

23. I'm going to second or third, or whatever number we're up to this...
Thermostats don't even cost a great deal and they're not complicated to install. Get one of the nifty programmable ones and you'll maintain a constantly nifty temperature and save a metric buttload of loot, too.

19. USE YOUR HOME BUYER'S WARRANTY. You must have one, and
that's what it's for...

Keep it, use it, use it, use it.

I re-plumbed a whole house one pipe at a time, $30 a pop with mine... Saved myself about $9000....

20. Most sales do not have a warranty in this part of the country.
And besides, we're renting.

24. aw rats. It sounded like you bought it.
Okay, buy a new thermostat!

BUT WHEN YOU BUY A HOUSE, get the home buyer's warranty, research the one YOU want before you close the sale and keep it and use it!

:D
