Explosive ear hair growth!

Has anyone else encountered this phenomenon? You guys in your 40s and older, you look at your ear one day, nothing, you look the next day, and there is this hair sticking out an inch in a spot you were certain was hairless just the day before?

I have noticed this more than once, while putting on earings.

4. Its not just the hair, its individual hairs that grow an inch in a day.
