Supermarket Owner Arrested For Beating Up Suspected Shoplifter

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- An Orange County supermarket owner said he was just trying to protect his property from a shoplifter. Now he has been charged with battery.

On Saturday, investigators said, Jimmy Pena and six other men chased a man from the Bravo Supermarket on Curry Ford Road and beat him up.

Pena claims the man and two others were trying to steal beer.

The victim said he is innocent.
