5. Strangely enough
My University used the same colors Red&Black as my high school and both were among the largest institutions in the Eastern US.

7. Before the two high schools merged, it was gold and black.
Then it became silver and black, along with the name and the mascot of some overhyped mascot used in some California team... Our merged school was of the "me too!" sort. :eyes:

12. Interesting question

The dominant color of the uniforms is blue. But the high school fight song (from memory, 31 years later) went:

(To the tune of the "Washington and Lee Swing")
When Hillite varsity men fall in line
They're out to win that game another time
They're out to fight, fight, fight with all their might
They're out to fight, fight, fight, fight, fight and do it right
You ought to see that Hillite varsity
They are the ones who never, ever yield
They're going to march right on to victory
Victory for the Gold and Blue!

So you could say the primary color was gold. I voted "blue," though.
Anyhow, the school's teams are commonly known as the Lumberjacks (a unique nickname in Michigan), though "Hillites" still enjoys some usage. The girls' teams are NOT referred to as, say, Lumberjills -- nor has the school fight song ever been edited for political correctness. And we're named after a lumber baron, not the actor who portrayed TV's Owen Marshall.
John
Saginaw (MI) Arthur Hill HS, '75.
It is now 13 days, 20 hours and 34 minutes to FUNDAY. Be a LOT of Arthur Hill alum here. Some Saginaw High Trojans, too.

ON EDIT: I almost forgot to mention that AHHS won the Michigan Class A (big school) state basketball title this year -- our first one in that sport since 1944. We're traditionally a big football and swimming/diving school.
