Good Saturday Morning, Crew!

:hi::donut:
Welcome to the Saturday edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: We made it to the weekened! I hope your week was a good one and you have a fun two days off planned because, you know, we all need that once in a while!

I had a couple things come up yesterday morning and wasn't able to go get my new camera, but I'm going as soon as I get off work this afternoon! Of course I'm off on Sunday, and I'm going to use that day as a picture taking day, so Monday morning I will have lots of photos to show you from around Tallahassee! :woohoo:

So let's get this weekend started, shall we! We're going to have a lot of fun! :bounce:

15. I'm cleaning and packing some of my stuff.
I also need to post some ads on Craigslist for my TV and other things.

Oh, I remember you had some problems with putting movies on your video iPod. I saw this ad in Rolling Stone today, so I figure it's at least halfway legit. You might want to check it out:

51. I had a similar situation recently.
I won $60 in the lottery and used that plus an additional $40 to buy some... "grass." :smoke:

The guy I always got it from, who's always been reliable, has been unreachable via phone for the past week, so I'm basically out $100.

Actually, the last time he and I talked, he said he'd call me back because he was talking to the cops at the time, ironically. I never got a hold of him again and don't know if he ended up in jail or worse.

I dreamed that a big 777 airliner crashed into my store and I could only save one person. I was outside smoking a cigarette and saw it coming down and realized it was going to crash! That was probably the worst one I've had.

8. Good morning Clint!
I have lots of fun planned. I'm going to take a second run at cleaning the oven, because my first attack on it only got rid of about 2/3 of the crud. I'm going to spray it before going to sleep and let it sit for a good while so hopefully it will work this time.

Then I've got some other stuff to do around the house. Yesterday I did the oven and re-hung the bathroom door after putting a fresh coast of paint on the door frame. So much to do, so much to do. :P

Actually, I'm one of those people that's awesome with all animals. I pretty much have no fear with dogs though, so it's real easy for me to become the alpha.

It's a sad story actually. Apparently, his owners were evicted and they left him chained up in the backyard with no food, water, or shelter. He has cuts on him from barbed wire that was in the yard. Neighborhood kids were hopping the fence, feeding and playing with him. They told their teacher about the dog they would visit after school. So she got the story and checked it out. With the help of a neighbor, she was able to get him out of the yard. I heard about his story the day of his rescue and I got him the next day. So basically, 4-5 days ago, he was chained up in a yard (it was about a week he was out there). This was also in an area that has a major dog fighting problem, so it's amazing that a dog this nice didn't end up as bait for fighting pits.

He's such a sweet dog. He seriously loves all people. I guess he knows that he's in a safe place now. He's actually scared of my cats and he shows no interest in other dogs at all. No food aggression either. It's just disgusting how someone could abandon such a nice dog. He's a little less than a year old. A light tan brindle with a white stripe up his nose and white toes.

I just got back from groceries shopping. This afternoon I am invited over to coffe and I will provide the cake. This evening my friend and I will go dancing. Tomorrow we want to watch another soccer game at the river.
Yesterday evening was crazy. The news says there were up to 50.000 people there :wow: And we were two of them. It was a good game and we had fun.

So my weekend is full and I have to get to bake the cake now.

45. Good Saturday morning to all, hope.................
.....everyone has an enjoyable day planned.

BTW, the last time I looked at the calendar it was supposed to be summer, right?? Wrong!! Not around here anyway!! It was rainy and cool yesterday and last night it dipped to almost freezing here in the north country. I think the weather people are saying we should get up around 70 to 75 degrees today.

That picnic, thank goodness, can be held outside or inside. We planned ahead for both possibilities O8) so that is still on for today.

A big :hi: DU welcome :hi: to all the newbies. I think we've gotten about 30 new people just in the last day or so. Welcome!!

Have a great time everyone.:grouphug:

50. Good Morning, Minnesota!
:hi:
As hot as it's been here in Florida, I can't imagine there's anyplace that's still getting that cold! I'm sorry it won't warm up for you up there. Have a great weekend!

55. Good morning, Clintmax!
:donut: :hi:

I hope those couple things stay down so you can get your new camera today. :bounce: Can't wait for the photos!

We have the same old thing planned for the weekend. Harleykid came over last night and helped me set up the office/guest room while harleydad worked on the master bedroom. We might sleep in a bed tonight! :bounce: Oh, and the neighbors came over and mowed the lawn for us. They're charging WAY less than the landlord wanted and did a better job. They own the horses out back and said they like to go for long rides and would like to have me go with them. :woohoo:

Satchmo and Sophie got their first outdoor walk on the patio last night, on their leashes. They loved it! Satchmo thought the fireflies were great! Now it'll be hard to keep them in.

59. Good Morning, Miss Airmens!
:hi::hug::loveya:
I'm SO happy to see you this morning! :loveya: Sounds like you got some things done yesterday! I wish I could come riding with you too. I love to ride horses! Maybe when we can come up there for a visit, we can go once together, you and I! :bounce: I'm glad you'll actually get to sleep on a BED tonight. That's gotta feel good!

61. I'm happy to see you, too!
:loveya: We did get some things done yesterday, but it's slow going. Oh, and I broke the rocking chair. It's an old wooden one that sits on the porch and goes with the house and the wood is rotten. I rocked back and the rocker broke ... stuck me in a lying down position and the guys came over and pulled me up. Damn! There goes my security deposit -- ya think?

I wish you could come riding with me, too! :bounce: I'm a little afraid of horses, but everyone here is telling me they're just like big dogs. Once I'm on them, I'm not afraid -- it's just the other stuff because I don't understand horse body language yet.

Well, MAYBE I'll get to sleep in a bed tonight. It just occurred to me that I have no idea where the bed linens are. But we're just about ready to bring in the boxes from the garage, so there's hope. :D

Don't forget to plug your camera's battery in as soon as you get it home, even before you read the directions. Then it'll be ready to go when you are. (You have a song of the day, there's your tip of the day. :D)

63. You destructive little thing!
No, I don't think you'll lose your deposit because of that. And if they say anything about that...you can always mention suing for being hurt by their defective chair!

Once you get on a horse, you can feel them tense and relax. I'll never forget once, on a horse, I felt him tense up in preparation to run...I thought; "Well, OK...we can run for a while..." and let him go...HOLY GODS! We must have been going at warp speed! It was fun!

Yes, you'll need to find the bed linens..who wants to sleep on a bare mattress?

I certainly will plug it in as soon as I get it home! Good tip! :loveya:

66. Well, I DID eat pizza for lunch!
See how fast I put on weight?

It is fun to ride -- I'll have to pay more attention to the horse relaxing his tension. Once, I ran fast like that and the man I was riding with had forgotten to tighten the saddle and shorten the stirrups. So I was hanging onto the horse's neck for dear life and trying to get the guy's attention while my feet were flying all over and I was bouncing up and down. He was on the lead horse and my horse wouldn't obey ANY of my commands as long as the other one was running. I'll never forget that!

HAHAHA! We've been sleeping on a bare air mattress for a week now ... too much trouble to put sheets on it at the end of the day (we have to collapse it every day). When you're that tired, you just don't care.

Harleydad is up so it's time for us to get breakfast and get our tails in gear. It certainly was nice to see you again this morning. :loveya: I hope you have a wonderful day and get the camera going. :loveya:  :hi:

Yes, that would have been a scary ride! You have to be sure everything is tightened, that's for sure! I've got to go get ready for work too. It was wonderful to see you also, sweetheart! :loveya: I'll see you Monday morning!

65. Fl check-in
Maybe something is stopping you from buying the camera because it IS on sale elsewhere. A day early and a dollar over - not the way it's supposed to work. Bought my cat supplies - the litter box is an architectural masterpiece. I'm coming back as a cat.

I hope I don't see it somewhere else like that, but it wouldn't surprise me. It happens to me all the time. So where did you get an architechural masterpiece litter box?

72. Luxury litter box
PetSmart. I did turn down the ones that were larger than a small condo - winding stairway, overhead entrance etc. Everything but turret and moat. Did you check Amazon for the camera or overstock.com?

76. Morning Clint
Hell I always have my beer goggles on. :)

Too bad you couldn't go pick up the camera. I always get overly excited like a little kid when I have something like that I want to use. Us "grown ups" have our own toys, you know? They are just more expensive than cars, trucks and GI Joes. :) Case in point, I loves my video camera. I barely use it though. :) I'm hoping to make a short film with it when I get a chance. :)
