How about a Hispanic group?

I was hanging out in the Ethnicity, Religion, and Atheism forums when I noticed that we do not have a Hispanic Group.

I'm not Hispanic, but ethnic and racial issues are very important to me. The last I heard Latinos were the fastest growing minority in the U.S. and I was surprised that we don't have a forum for them here at DU. What do you say?

If you guys want to do this I'll leave it to you to come up with a mission statement. But count my vote as a dues paying member to get this off the ground.

3. We tried to get one started awhile ago

and there was even a mission statement but nothing came out of it. I'd get behind one though.

but we better get interested quick. In view of current events and the booming Hispanic population we are probably going to have wished we were interested sooner.

I guess we don't have a lot of Hispanics posting here on DU. I didn't know you guys had tried before to get a group together and I was thinking that this idea was going to go over pretty good.
