Anyone else think Southpark was a little fast out of the gate
last night? They already had Saddam in his spiderhole complete with beard and his new look. Either they've been working night and day for the last couple of days , or tinfoil time " They Knew ".
Either way, I hope they show the real episode that was planned for last night, I want to see Stan's Christmas adventure.

1. South Park always manages to stay bleeding edge.
I think they keep a lot of ideas up in the air and then haul ass to finish stuff up in under a week.

2. I saw on a little special about South Park and how it's created..
and Tre Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park, said they make the cartoon like the night before it airs on tv.

4. They can produce an episode of South Park in 10 days...
I'm betting they just changed the ending on this one to make it more "timely".

3. The way I figure it..
... they had the episode ready to go with the "old" saddam head, and they put the new head on at the last minute.

6. Oh that's a thought...yeah, I thought they were ahead of the curve too...
but then didn't some senator a couple weeks ago say we were close to getting him? I think we rolled him outta that hole just in time to take attention away from other things

5. They've been quick before with episodes that contained
recent news. There's one in particular that I'm thinking of, but the subject is escaping me right now. The animation of SP isn't very involved, but I was surprised at how quickly they threw the musical numbers together.

Funny episode last night, at any rate.

7. I loved it
Spend the rest of the night pondering how they could have put the ending together that quickly.

10. I know their animation isn't
exactly up to aisan standards, and if they did just change the end, that would explain the quickness, but it's fun to wear tinfoil every now and then.
I imagine they could just see people burning up the net talking about how they did it.

Their animation is created using the same computer animation software used for the Jurassic Park films. The style is intentional.

13. the early ones were done with construction paper cut-outs-
and stop-action, frame-by-frame photography. when they moved to a fancier production process, they kept the same look.

They stated the first one, Cartman's Anal Probe, is the only one done frame by frame. It took months.
