A 40-year-old Glenbeulah man allegedly sprayed his son in the face with bear repellent during an argument over a cell phone Monday night, according to Capt. Dave Adams of the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department.
Adams said authorities are looking for Timothy T. Kachelmeier, 40, of 234 Clark St., who is accused of spraying his son, Alexander, 17, of the same address, with the pepper spray-like substance about 5:30 p.m.
Adams said the two were arguing over a cell phone belonging to Timothy Kachelmeier when Alexander Kachelmeier forced his way into his father's bedroom, causing a confrontation, and later tried to get into his father's car while searching for the cell phone.
Timothy Kachelmeier sprayed the boy as he tried to enter the car, Adams said. He may be charged with improper use of pepper spray, Adams said, but authorities have been unable to locate him.
The spray caused redness on Alexander Kachelmeier's face, but he did not require medical attention, Adams said. He has been cited for disorderly conduct.
