1. I adored The Seduction of Claude Debussy!
Art Of Noise is an acquired taste, but worth having!

2. I like them.
My aunt had one of their albums when she was in college. I had it when I was 12 and I don't know what I did to it. "Moments In Love" is a song that I remember fondly from my childhood - its one of the reasons why I am a musician today.

4. Holy s=== I thought I was the only one.
I grew up with the Art of Noise. Can you imagine a 13 year-old girl with long brown hair listening to that shit and enjoying it? I was a GEEK.

But it was fairly incredible stuff... sort of cutting edge techno.

5. I first saw them on MTV
Back when MTV still showed music videos. :eyes:

But I saw them, and said, "Are they WEIRD!"

"I love them!" :-)

6. That time was one of the most difficult of my life, and not merely b/c
I was 13. I was in a ruccous of a household with a mother who treated me like the housecat. When I listened to this, I thought ahead somehow, and because of its innovative sounds gave me a greater sense of direction. I'm not saying that the Art of Noise saved me as a person (snort) but that it was perpetually in the background during this stage, and I remember it fondly. :)
