There's just not enough of my time to get in everything I need to get in
:(

I just dropped one of my courses. I'm a little upset about it, but it needed to be done.

Back when I went to register for classes, my boss gave me a hard time about taking a class at 5:30 because he was afraid I wouldn't be able to work overtime if he needed me. If I had pressed this, the union would have backed me and I would have won, but I didn't want to appear inflexible, so I switched to a 7:30 course, and that meant that with the one mandatory course (can't get into the degree program w/o it) and the one I switch for the boss, I was taking a class 7:30 to 9:30 on back to back nights. I live an hour from the school (which is where I work, BTW) so I wasn't getting home until 10:30.

That may not seem like a big deal to you folks, but I'm usually in bed by 10 so that I can get up and go to the gym. I get up at 4:45 and I'm at the gym by 6:15.

So taking these two courses has negatively affected my workout schedule. And that's NOT acceptable.

Also, each class had me reading a book per week. None of the chores around the house were getting done. I never see my son anymore, and I'm just plain exhausted.

So, I dropped a course.

You can bet that I won't ever again let the boss tell me what I can and can't do with my own time.

OK... end of rant.

1. I am the same way
cannot tolerate anything wrecking my workout schedule. In fact, a week or two ago, I had to start coming in at 8 instead of 9...now it's dark in the morning when I need to run. I live in a safe place, but it is very dark and makes me nervous..so now I've got to try running AFTER work, which I HATE. Plus, it is so HOT after work. Well, daylight savings time ends soon I guess. Ok, thanks for letting me rant too.
