Because I need to tell someone other than my husband and Mom...
I'm pregnant.

36 years old

Have a 7 year old from a previous marriage.

And, yep - that line came up and I wasn't even trying.

God - I have to quit smoking (again).

Thanks! Just had to tell!

5. I'm trying.
I was already on a stop-smoking program (Welbutrin with the puffer to start THIS weekend). I can still do the puffer... doc says no nicotine is best, but puffers are better than cigs.

I quit with my boy using a patch - and he was 10 pounds 2 ounces, healthy as an ox. I'm guessing as long as I do it soon - now - it's OK. :)

8. Congratulations!!!
I always loved being pregnant. Part of me's envious.

It's a very small part.

I'm thrilled for you, though.

10. I liked it because I automatically treat myself better.
And so does everyone else. LOL!

11. Please do stop smoking... for yourself and the baby's sake.
Fast forward -- my ex-husband is dying of lung cancer. It is not a pretty sight. He started smoking as a teenager and kept it up for decades. I nagged him for nine married years, and his second wife has to endure the end with him.

I'm sorry they have to pay the price. Thousands of smokers do, every year. Treat yourself to life. Stop smoking, please.

And congratulations!

In peace,

Radio_Lady

12. I was already in a stop-smoking cessation program
Two weeks of Welbutrin (which I have to stop now) and the puffer to start Saturday. I can still do the puffer - not the best, but better than smoking, for the baby. I quit the last time I was preggers in three weeks on the patch and my baby was fine - huge, actually (10 pounds, 2 ounces, no gestational diabetes). I just have to do it now - and will.

Thanks! :)

14. Wonderful! Nicotine is as bad as heroin, or so I'm told.
Thanks for the update.

Good night and good luck...
