Question about Rolling Rock beer

I know it's early to be discussing beer. But on my way in to work I saw a Rolling Rock truck. It had a large bottle of RR on it and the words "The same as ever." Didn't they get purchased by Bud? And wasn't there supposed to be a boycott?

it's unlikely it will taste the same. And it's Budweiser who bought it, for god's sake - yuk.

Unless the sweet spring waters of Latrobe, PA taste like shit, there's no way "the same as ever" tagline is truthful. Yeah, when I think of great-tasting beer, I think of the effervescent waters of Newark.

Yes, the Rolling Rock brand was purchased by Budweiser. City Brewing, I believe, just purchased the former brewery facility in Latrobe from Bud. I'm not sure what they'll be producing yet. As for the boycott, I couldn't tell you much about it. Local SW PA types, haters of Bud, and beer snobs probably won't buy the beer, but Rolling Rock will probably sell elsewhere if the marketing is done right.
