Going to the 16th Century this weekend

it's the opening of the Carolina Renaissance Festival. It runs 7 weekends 'til the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Since I know most of the acts and regular playtrons (i.e., the patrons who come in garb) from the spring RenFest, it'll be a mini-reunion! :woohoo:

I'm not a character at Carolina like I am at the Georgia RenFest. The Faire is in Huntersville, which is a little north of Charlotte. That's a relatively short drive (about 3 hrs.) from Atlanta, so hopefully I'll get to see my friends from the spring.

and he's in Pennsylvania. I don't think he's coming to the RenFest this year. I heard that he was too much of a horse's ass last time and he was mistaken for one of the horses got put in the joust arena. From what I understand, it wasn't pretty.

documentary, NOVA?, recently that speculated that people who survived The Plague have descendants now who are naturally immune to AIDS.

So, he may be retrofitted anyway.
