Nothing major, but tomorrow I'm going in for a cranial angiogram. It's a follow-up, but it's still a fairly new procedure and I'm a bit nervous although I predict nothing but a good outcome.

If all goes well, I'll be posting again Saturday if not maybe sooner.

6. Update: Mostly very good news, some bad.

Bad news: there was restenosis (meaning one of my "spark plugs" keeping the artery open is severely blocked), but the other stent is crystal clear, so that's about 60% good news.

Very, very, very good news, though: I have grown some very impressive collaterals from my arteries to make up for the blockage. This is EXTREMELY good news and a lot of pure luck; the cahnces of being able to grow these things is about 50/50!

What it all means is that while I still have an above average chance of repeating the mini-stroke I had last year, it's it's still pretty remote from what can be determined--very good news indeed.

Thanks for the good wishes, they really did help keep my attitude where I needed it to be.
