Just a moment ago.

Just reporting...I have no stake in it.

I'm a Yankees fan

3. Me TOO!!
In that case, it's ALL good! (and useful for washing off that stubborn stain from the Repuclican convention in '04 ;))

6. Thanks
it's not over yet. I'm kind of the superstitious type (case in point, I've won the same t-shirt 2 days in a row) so I won't truly feel good until everything is said and done. Still Saturday's game should be a good one. Any word on what's wrong with Nomar?

7. He pulled the quad last month
Dude's been part of the walking wounded all season. He missed the first 30, 31 games after he pulled a rib-cage muscle in a spring game. Then he sprained his right knee and went on the 15, then the quad, then the oblique a couple weeks later.

Before the next-to-last game of the season, Charlie Steiner, one of the Dodgers announcers, asked him if there was any part of him that doesn't hurt. "My smile," he said. Hokey, but likely true.

Well for my sake, I hope he doesn't pull any Kirk Gibson-esque heroics :P

10. He did a couple weeks ago
We were playing the MaxiPads and they were half a game ahead of us with about 12 to play. They were leading 9-5 going into the bottom of the ninth, and we got consecutive homers by Kent, Drew, Martin and Anderson to tie it. San Diego got a run in the 10th, but Garciaparra hit a two-run yak in the bottom of the 10th to win it.

That was by far the most dramatic, but he's had walk-off hits all season.

I wouldn't worry, though.

5. How about them Mets?
I hope we get to beat the crap out of Oakland in the series, revenge for '73.

If Detroit beats Oakland, that would be OK too, or even if Detroit beats Minnesota.

If the Mets have to beat the shit out of the Yankees, of course, they'll be happy to do it, but it would be more fun to make the Yankees watch our accession from home on TV.
