I'm signing the lease for my new apartment Fri. afternoon
It's a frightening step for me- I've been more or less living out of a single room for almost eight years now, and have had my big sister to help me out and take care of me. I'm kinda used to it, but I've wanted to have room to stretch my legs (literally) for a long time.

I believe my computer repair service is making enough money to pay the rent and utilities, so that won't be a problem. In fact, I hope to find many new clients within the community I'm moving into.

But it's been a long time since I've been on my own, and it's a big step for me, even though I am 51 years old. I have worries, but I also have faith that I'll make it. I'm apprehensive but eager to begin again.

Wish me and the Nashville Cat luck.

4. My biggest problem is that I'm a lousy cook.
Maybe I'll take a few night courses. Food shouldn't be that hard to figure out...

5. It really isn't all that hard to figure out.........
Night courses are a very good way to learn.....

Sometimes the local high school has adult education classes too.....

And of course, it is a lot cheaper to cook at home than to eat out all the time!

7. Re: Food
If you have a Trader Joe's or a Whole Food's nearby, they can be good places to get healthy stuff.

Best of luck to you on your new venture!!!

8. My advice
Take pictures of every angle of every room. Landlords can often claim you did terrible damage to the apartment when you move out and then sue you for renovations they've been wanting to make for years.
