Did anyone watch ER last night?
I thought John Mahoney was fabulous, that episode really got to me.

2. ER makes me cry fairly often
but last night I really felt what it must be like for same-sex partners in that situation, I can't even imagine :-(

4. I saw that once at the hospital I worked at
it was an old Lesbian couple and the relatives were at odds with the family of one of the partners. It was really quite tragic. The surviving partner had POA, but the family who was estranged from the dying partner was going to contest it till the chaplin stepped in and convinced them they really had no case anyway.
