2. He's "the man" and he's trying to keep you down. "He" in the generic
"He's the man" sense, of course.

4. Ar you lying on your back
Cats will stand on your chest and push down rhythmically on your chest with alternate paws. It is the way kitties stimulate their mothers to lactate and the kitty thinks you are it's mommy.

6. Sometimes she'll knead; mostly she just stands there
or eventually lays down. (Yes I'm lying on my back.)

5. And while doing so, it can manipulate the laws of physics.
Ever notice how a 12-pound cat can put about 20,000 pounds of pressure under one paw when they're standing on you?

10. Yes, and usually either on a full bladder or your breasts
It's an amazing suspending of the laws of nature.

16. She likes to step on my boyfriend's bladder
With me, she walks up the bed and straight onto my chest, practically in my face. She likes to paw at the blanket near my mouth. And even a six-pound cat can put incredible pressure on my chest with each of her front paws.

I'd answer in greater detail, but there's a cat on my chest.:)

9. The SO and I think it's hysterical people think cats are aloof or/and
independent. Neither of us have ever owned a cat that was. The three we have now are the most sociable, needing-to-be-near-you kitties in the world (they aren't weird or clingy, though). One even lays in front of the door during the week when you try to go to work -- he wants you to stay home.

And, all but one hangs out with company, too. The one that doesn't WILL hang out if it's only women (which is often the case except when parental units visit).

I'm sure some kitties are like that, but I've never been owned by one!

15. Cats are standonnish.
And sometimes when they sit on you, they dig their little pointy elbows into you.
