1) How far from a cable outlet is your computer (or can it be?). Did the guy bring a lot of different-length cables? Does the computer have to be in a room with a cable hookup?

2) How long did it take, approximately?

48. One of the first things they asked when I called about it was the distance

They asked if the computer was within 20 feet of a cable outlet, so I'm thinking that's as far as they want to run a cable. The guy who installed it just went back out to his truck and cut the length that he needed.

And it only took about 15 minutes to install. And, if I want to connect other computers, I can do it with a wireless router.
