This is ripping us up.

This morning, a black and white fluffy cat ran out in front of my nephew's car and was hit. He looked in the rear-view mirror and saw it stumbling away from the road. He stopped and went to find it, but could not find it anywhere. His mother and I spent the morning looking for it and knocking on doors. Nothing.

Somewhere in the bushes a cat is suffering. This is really painful.

2. I empathize. I was once walking down the street with my dogs (who

got along great with cats) and startled a cat. It ran into the street & was hit, and I spent all day trying to find it or the owner.

I hope the cat turns out to be ok, but you have tried, so don't beat yourself over it.

try calling them up, they can probably help . . .
