Dear David Mamet, please don't put your wooden wife in any more movies.
Rebecca Pidgeon-Mamet is the most unanimated, uninteresting performer in all of moviedom. I'd rather pay to see repeated screenings of "IMAX Presents Barney: The Extremely Long Movie" than watch her deliver emotionless dialogue with her trademark lack of depth and expression.

The only way she can get work is by being married to the writer/director of the projects she's on.

What makes this even more embarassing is the fact that she's usually playing some irresistable femme-fatale, when she's about as sexy as a pair of Buster Browns. This is supposed to be a woman who drives men to ruin?! Maybe to suicide. I could see that happening. Like, meeting her at a cocktail party would drive me to slowly gouge my own eyes out with a salad fork and immolate myself with the fondue set.

That is all.

1. I could NOT agree more!!
My GOD, does she suck. She almost single-handedly ruined what I thought was a very good (not great, but good) movie, "The Spanish Prisoner." Everybody else turned in a fine performance, except for her.

2. She's a stage actress
Doesn't always translate well to film. I can't recall seeing any of her films, as I usually stay away from anything Mamet. I get enough of that shit in Chicago. She's actually not a bad singer, in a Suzanne Vega wannabe way. She released a few albums in the 90s, typical coffee shop fare. They used to play one of them at a restaurant I worked at.
