It's 11 hr. flight from our undisclosed location overseas. I am in the US now, not sure I would want to go anyhow, but just curious if I should be envious. LOL.

1. If DH gets to witness another coup,
that might be sort of fun/enviable.

3. If he's flying on an Asian airline, be envious, be very envious
If he's flying on a U.S. airline, you can get by with being only slightly envious.

4. I don't think so. I've heard one night in Bangkok makes a hard man humble

6. The bars are temples but the pearls ain't free
I second the poster that says that long-distance travel, even on an Asian airline where they actually pamper the passengers, is long, tedious and confining.

My S.O.'s cousin used to go to Bangkok fairly often (he did AIDS research, and they had an epidemic), and he said it was dirty.

5. Yes & No
Given that you say it's only 11 hours, well, b-class is pretty cool if that's the length of flight.

However, I've been to Asia in b-class many times. The trip is so long that it doesn't matter what kind of seat you're in. It's a horrible, long, boring, tedious, confining trip that literally steals a day from your life, each way. If someone is flying from the U.S., nobody should be envious of the traveler. It's a drag.

8. Thanks y'all for your responses, I am not envious then...
As an architectural historian who studied Asian arch., I would like to have seen Bangkok (he's there for a biz meeting).

Sorry, in the interest of national security (mine) I cannot divulge my undisclosed location.

I went to youtube yesterday and watched Murray Head's video, we've been singing that song for 2 weeks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5VBdwQZSFk
