21. technically, Max, wasn't the devil in the movie...
it never went one way or the other...and bookwise, he is far from the devil...:)

3. I forgot about that! Viggo is cool.
Although I can recommend 'A History of Violence'. It was awful. The only redeeming moment was Maria Bello in a cheerleader outfit.

5. Does Tim Curry in "Legend" count?
I mean, they never explicitly call his character "Satan," (called him "Dark" or "Darkness" or somthing suchlike, IIRC) but everyone got the Devil gist. And he was amazing.

13. beat me to it.
that movie was wacked but he was magnificent. I really liked Mia Sara in that, I don't know why she didn't become a bigger star. The only thing I didn't like was his gums clashed with his skin and lipstick, that is just a weird pet peeve of mine, same reason I can't watch Katie Couric.

19. Any time I saw that, I wondered how bad his neck felt after filming.
Even though the horns were probably hollow, they had to be heavy.

29. I rather enjoyed it actually...
Curry/Darkness was the best part of the movie though...the way in which he talked, and the makeup/effects were great imo...:) Mia Sara...whew, do I have to say more? Cruise was so/so in that movie...reminded me of a somewhat dimwitted kid.

36. that's what I mean
anything Tom Cruise is billed as a Tom Cruise vehicle and I think it had a lot of strengths and it's kind of a shame he was in it, 'cause I kind of think he's so-so in just about everything.

45. Yeah, Cruise was just a blandly handsome nonentity in that flick.
But Curry's ability to project that unique charm of his through all those pounds of makeup and prosthetics was such a joy to watch it really did justify the film's existence.

33. He was great, wasn't he?

Gabriel: Son of perdition. Little horn! Swine! Most unclean!
Satan: I do miss the old names.

------

Satan: You're the one soul I would come up here to collect myself.
John Constantine: So I've heard.

Peter Stormare originally auditioned for the role of "Balthazar."

Hint: It was a teevee show, not a movie.

32. was that in the 3rd movie
because I do not remember a Satan from the first two.

The funniest was when Will Ferrell was trying to give Garth Brooks a hit single in exchange for his soul.

I do not know the name of the guy who played Satan in the movie "Crossroads"

37. Hey u4ic!

I'm feeling blehhh; I got a bug that's been going around the hotel last Sunday and I've been drugged-out on Ny-Quil ever since. I got admit though, the dreams I've been having are in glorious Ny-Quil technicolor, though!:) It's going to be pretty nasty outside tomorrow, I guess, so I'm going to stay home and cocoon for the day...

How's the new place?

 <--just don't give me your cooties, ok? :-)

That's been going around. No fewer than 6 people I know have it, or have had it. I can't get it, or at least until the end of the month. Then I'll have time to deal with it.

Have you tried coldFX?

Hope you feel better soon!

I love the new place! It's tiny, but at least I don't have crappy room-mates any more!! It's a funky little old building, even has a veggie garden and a compost (how many apartments do you know in the city that have vegetable gardens??) It's a sleepy area, so it's nice and friendly and quiet neighbourhood, and really does feel like a small community.

It's right by my (unitarian) church, so it's not only close to there (and I'm there a lot, being on a few committess, etc), but I also already know a few people in the neighbourhood even before I moved in.

Easy access to downtown, yet not far away the Whitemud...all round, I like it. Thanks for asking!
