We're back from Maui
Had a wonderful time. It was like a mini spa retreat as my girlfriend and her husband only eat an organic, mostly raw, vegetarian diet. They also don't have regular television, keeping one only to watch movies. They have Internet, but I remained disconnected. How relaxing. I did yoga nearly every day and we walked or hiked almost every day. We snorkeled two days.

We stayed in Haiku, rented a convertible and drove around most of the island, including the road to Hana, where we spent the night in a cottage on the bay. We also watched the sunrise at Haleakala. The scenery was breathtaking and each day was filled with beauty. Most of our meals were eaten on their lanai or on the oceanfront.

We took TONS of pictures, some of which I'll post later. It also was great reconnecting with my girlfriend, who has been my friend since middle school.

2. Aloha and welcome back!!
I loooove Maui and I've spent a lot of time there over the years. We were there with the kids for two weeks earlier this summer in fact. It's a magical place. Sounds like you had a great and relaxing time!

:hi:

4. Nice place to visit
But I don't think I could live there -- not that we could even afford it.
