1. I am of the tiny minority that really likes doing them
I worked in a kitchen at my parent's restaurant from my 13th birthday until I was 24 or so, therefore, doing the dishes is like a weird link to my formative years.

8. it is one of the activities that REALLY relaxes me at the end of the day
I usually wash the dishes before I start writing too as it helps me organize my thoughts.

Crazy, I know.

6. OH BOY DO I EVER
There's a full sink right now - several days worth.

It hurts my back to have to lean over. But I can't install a dishwasher.

11. Because of my disability, doing dishes is horribly painful.
I HATE having to do dishes. It's one of those things I wish I could hire someone to do for me. x(

16. Don't feel that my situation
is any reason to judge your own. You're have a right to feel how you feel.

I'd hate dishes even if it wasn't painful. And I'd partipate in this thread too. My disability just gives me a bit more reason to gripe. :)

12. I don't mind doing dishes.
I'd actually rather wash dishes by hand than unload the dishwasher.

18. My kids
They hate it. What cracks me up is they'll wait and wait until the dishwasher's about to burst at the seams before they run it because they don't want to unload it...and then they've got more to unload. And they wind up having to wash and dry the dishes that wouldn't fit (not to mention the ones that didn't get clean because it was too full) by hand.

They make it so much harder than it needs to be. But can I get them to believe that?

Nooooooooo...

:eyes:

27. Heh...
I'm Evil (or so they tell me). When they turn nine, they all get a 'special' birthday gift. Their very own turn with the dishes.

They count the days...they're soooo excited. They've all actually looked forward to it. And then...

The joy lasts about, oh, 30 minutes.

The whining?

A lifetime.
