You can get in trouble for that in public. :P

We don't get any trick-or-treaters out here in the boonies, but we do get some evil tic-tackers.

10. I'm going as a demon
I wanted to get the V for Vendetta mask for my husband but couldn't find one. Then again, maybe that costume would be best right before the '08 elections. ;)

I don't have any pics of me yet but here's my 6 yr old doing her best Cleopatra pose:

21. There should be plenty of places online to get them...
Edited on Fri Oct-27-06 11:36 PM by calipendence
I got my complete costume here, but it looks like it's out of stock now...

http://www.costumesupercenter.com/product/id/104945.do

and the cheaper one is out of stock too:

http://www.costumesupercenter.com/product/id/104979.do

I actually saw a mask set (with a few other pieces to it too) at the Halloween shop I was at in La Jolla Village Drive's mall here in San Diego the other night. You might want to check your bigger Halloween costume places. Some of them might still have stuff left now, though as we get closer this week, I'm guessing those will be out of stock too now.

Actually another idea that you might be able to do is kind of do what my sig has and have a "gag" over your face with "State Secrets", and have makeup to make you look semitic/middle eastern to dress up as Sibel Edmonds! I actually talked to a professional mask maker on the web earlier this year about trying to get something like this started a few months ago. He replied back to me that he might be interested, but we both kind of left that hanging, since probably neither of us had the time to make a full effort of getting something like that done. Have a whistle underneath your gag, so that when someone takes it off, you can blow a big loud whistle noise out as a "whistleblower"!

22. My problem is that I shop for costumes at the last minute :-(
I love your alternative costume idea though.

I'll keep my eye open for V costumes after this Halloween. I seriously love the idea of doing this the October before the '08 election. Since I'm actually thinking this far ahead I can probably recruit 5-10 friends and we can all go as a revolution. :bounce:

Seriously though...you're GREAT at this. I propose that you start a thread every year one month before Halloween with a list of kick a** liberal costume ideas.

26. I guess out campaigning here...
We have too many damn elections down here in San Diego! We can't "get em out" of office enough down here! :) Sounds like we have two more brewing after this election (if we can't keep the criminals like Bilbray and Duncan Hunter elected out to start with). Gotta find someway of getting Issa nailed for his car thievery and arson earlier too!

Boo Humbug!!

My kids will be out trick or treating with my wife and friends, and I'm usually left home alone with the dogs. I turn off the lights and don't answer the door.

I know, pitiful, but again, Boo Humbug! ;)

I got the last Cheney mask at the Halloween store. And my husband is going as Harry Whittington. We have some cool, old vintage Woolrich hunting clothes we're going to wear. We have a bunch of fake bullet holes and fake blood. We're going to splatter his face and neck with them.

31. the trouble with tribbles
my hubbie and I have star trek outfits (original series - and we bought them homemade so they aren't that great) and I made a furry suit for my one-year old girl so she can be a tribble.

I'll post pics maybe tonight or tomorrow. We are going to the zoo today all dressed up.

35. Cosmo
My wife and i are going as Fairly Odd Parents (as we are all of thee above).

We even have (sing it with me now...)

"Wands and Wings, Floaty Crowny Things!"

I am even going all out this year. I have what I consider to be a unique shade of natural red hair that I am very proud of; I bleached it the other day in preparation for Cosmo's green, which goes in tomorrow or the next day.

I love halloween.
