The newest member of our family has his own magazine!(graphic heavy)
I give you my maltepoo .. Many of you saw him debut here 2 weeks ago, he's quickly become a star in the family, or at least my husbands newest past time, for he did all of these which I thought you'd appreciate the humor of them.

1. Took me a minute to realize "Maltepoo" isn't a real magazine!
Very cute! Looks like he'd fit in my pocket!

6. "Can you get at job without obedience school?"

These are adorable. I wish I knew how to do stuff like this, then each of my pets would have their own mag too, lol.

7. Have you discovered that maltese' have a predilection for peeing on ALL
your rugs?

Yep.

I have resorted to using only small rugs in my house that I can either rinse out in the rain or with a hose, or small enough to put in the washer.

And she REFUSES to step outside if there is the tiniest bit of moisture occurring. And now, 4.5 years on, if I put her on the bed and leave in the morning, she'll stay there all day long until I get home.. She's quite the princess.

She doesn't jump up and down from anything as she broke her leg 2 years ago. We had a larger dog that accidently bit her.... $4000 later. Do remember they are actually quite delicate!

But that aside, I don't know about the poo side, but you will truly be ruined by the wonderful and sweet maltese disposition. Remember, she has no clue she's a little dog, and will get all up in the faces of big dogs. But the love and kisses are worth a million bucks, for sure.

8. Yup I've noticed potty training has been a
challenge, he's just as happy to pee on the rugs as to use the outdoors.

hence the little caption "how to train your owners to allow you to pee inside!" I can see why people just learn to live with it and break down and get puppy pads. But we are week 3 into potty training, and we are still hopeful but realistic that he's certainly harder to train then any other dog we've owned.

We are trying to avoid the whole puppy pad process and take him out every 2hrs.. every 10 mins after he eats or drinks until he has a success. But, we still have plenty of accidents.

Right now he's on the bed we've found it's like the crate, he won't soil it. And your right he's very sweet! The poodle in him gives him a bit of intelligence on how to manipulate past puppy barriers and train his owners!

9. I appreciate how hard you will try.. but it's inherent to the breed, sadly.
When they get much older, past age 3 they will finally settle into being able to go longer. But until then, the wee-weed pads are your best investment.

I'm glad you keep him on your bed at night. I've done that with all my pups. I can't imagine crating puppies at night, it's just so wrong. I've never had an accident on my bed with my girls. I wake up with they start moving, down onto the wee wee pad, and it's done.

The maltese in him will just refuse to be potty trained, and if it's wet or icky outside, fuggedabowdit!

Ah and I have a pomeranian who is equally as stubborn about potty training.. but at least she likes to go out in the rain, and in fact insists on it for fun and amusement. She is just 2 now and still has a poo at night, so she's pretty good about using the rag rugs I've put in strategic places.

I *HAD* to fall in love with the least potty-trainable pooches.. but what can you do? Just clean up a lot, lol.

10. It's nice to have someone out there who
understands!

We have a large dog who was so easy to train! And this little guy well he's still young yet, and we are still going to work on it.

We'll see how I feel once the first snow hits, I tend to think that's when we'll break down for the pads because he'll refuse to do his duty in the cold. He (like yours already doesn't' like cold, rain or mushy)
