Weekend.From.HELL.
:argh:

Soooooooooo

My sister-in-law bought a new condo :woohoo: and we went to help her move on Saturday. Yes, the SAME Saturday that brought 3" of rain and 60 mph winds! :eyes:

Boy THAT was fun -------> NOT! x(

Before we go over to help, Mrs Matcom goes up in the attic to get something and guess what! The ROOF IS LEAKING! :grr:

A bucket under the drip took care of that (gotta find a roofer today and figure out when i'm going to take a day off work to get estimates before the snows start flying)

Yesterday, head out to the grocery store. Hit a pothole (our town's roads are some of the finest around) :banghead: and I hear a SNAP!

Now the truck drives like the bed is about to fall off the frame so I dropped it off last night and they will call me when they figure it out :eyes:

And now its Monday. NOTHING good can come of this :argh:

*sigh* it's only money right?

2. Well, I had a bad weekend too, not as bad as yours
but, here it goes. So, I had achilles tendon surgery about a year and a half and I still have some pain at the site (at the base of my heel). On colder days, I limp visibly. So I was out at the BJ's store in Jersey City, when a bunch of unruly kids were flying around the store with those shoes that have rollers like skates.

Inevitably, one of them hit me in my heel and it hurt like a mother****er. I let the kids and their mother, standing in the aisle, have it. The kids didn't even apologize and, guess what?, they were running and skating down the aisles again.

But today, I'm still limping when I shouldn't be.

17. You should have gotten their license plate number or...
...name/address/and phone number (if possible) and sued them up one way and down the other.

Can assault charges be filed against children?

That kind of thing really ticks me off. :grr:

7. sorry, that really sucks.
but, it comes in three's, looks like you've had yours!

On another note, I just got my roof done this past summer. I had one of those metal roofs put up. These things are like, life-time. Spent under 6k (I have a ranch). I can't hear the rain or anything like that, and these things go right over your existing roof. There is a barrier that they do, and anything like leaks, or mold, or in our case moss, dries right out and dies. It's pretty cool. Definitly a great product.

9. Awww, matcom... Here, have a
Donald Rumsfeld is giving the president his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed."

"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!"

His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands.

Finally, the President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillion?"

12. Wierd dream about leaky roof last night.
In our former house in NH.
It's raining like hell and water's just gushing through the roof, down the wall, soaking carpet.
Miz t. is there and I ask her "Do we still own this place?"
(We rented our house back from the state for about 6 months after they bought it for a highway project.)
She says "No, we sold it last week."
Thank God.

Then I woke up and wasn't even in the damned house any more.
Great relief.

BTW, if you have to get the whole roof done, and you plan to be there for a while, check on the 50 year shingles. Used to not cost a lot more than the 30s. Guaranteed in winds up to 90 mph.
