The political yard sign war begins.
I had a bunch of signs for (democratic) candidates in the front yard. This repub dink running for state house of reps. wandered by when my husband was out raking leaves and talked him into putting a bunch of repub signs in our yard. My husband and I don't agree politically, most of the time, and we have an agreement that he gets one side of the yard for signs and I get the other. He usually doesn't even bother. Our yard looks ridiculous. We have signs for both candidates in various races, in the same yard. Eveytime I pull into my driveway, I see one that I particularly abhor, and I just want to puke. Now I'm even MORE desperate than I was before, for the election to come!

2. Would a no sign agreement be better?
I would have thought that if you can't agree, then leaving the space blank would be better than agravating each other with competing signage.

9. That would seem to make sense,
but I don't think he'll take his down, and I'm sure as hell not taking mine down, if his are up. Maybe I can park in front of his side and obscure the view. }(

10. I can't. wait.
I'm dying that I'll have to sit in my night class until 9:40, next Tuesday, and then drive home (no radio) 40 minutes, before I can get somewhere to catch the results coming in. It will be sheer torture!

11. that's kind of funny
but kind of open minded, too.

Maybe you two should skirmish in the yard with fake swords, wearing Rep and Dem costumes.

I have seen cars with both Rep and Dem stickers, actually.

and tell him he's sleeping there until the signs are removed

13. LOL..
my husband was a Bush supporter (briefly) in 2000. That is exactly the ultimatum I gave him. And I stuck by it too.

18. I live in a "no sign" zone.
It's in our covenants and I'm glad.
I don't think a yard sign has ever changed a voter's mind.
Or a bumper sticker.
They're just a way of outwardly expressing your political preference.
Like anybody cares.
IMHO
:-)

But I have 3 candidate bumper stickers on one car and 5 on the other because
I WANT THE WORLD TO KNOW!
Like they care.
