Cockroaches.

So, Friday I had to go judge the costume competition at the Manitoba Museums Halloween Funkadelic. So, my friend and I are waiting around, partying, etc. and I notice there's a silent auction in benefit of the museum.
Super sweet prizes, we bought some tickets. My friend notices that one prize only has two entries. It's for two live Madagascan hissing cockroaches. So, she throws in a ticket. And wins. (Megatron, Inspector Gadget, Ziggy Stardust, and the entire cast of Mario Kart won the costume prizes)
I convinced her to keep them.
And I named them Zarkon and Igthorn.

I think they're kind of neat, but everyone else thinks she's crazy for keeping them.
I wonder what the internet thinks.

5. The little fuckers freak me out.

When I was eighteen I decided to move to San Diego. I took the bus and basically landed with a backpack. I ended up in a cheap rent by the week hotel with a major infestation. I had to sleep with the lights on so they would stay out of my mouth. And, GiC, the picture I showed you with Zoe, I had a backpack and skateboard, that was me catching the bus for San Diego for that little adventure..
