I have a new favorite Salvador Dali painting!!!
I love his stuff! I was in Tampa this weekend visiting DUer Ramsey. On Saturday we decided to go to the Salvador Dali museum in St. Petersburg, FL.

This is probably my new favorite by Dali:

I'll let you guess what who is the face in the portrait.

2. I didn't want to give out the name cause people would be able

3. He was amazing.
My favorite of his was "Dream caused by the flight of a bee around a pomegranate a moment before awakening".

I live in FL, and have been to that museum about 3 times. His books are wild, as well.

10. his works are so much more impressive in person
I visited the museum about 15 years ago, and the one that really stuck out in my mind (besides the Columbus), was a painting of a blue vase. It was just so intensely blue, a color you just could never find in nature, and could never hope to reproduce in a picture or print.

8. I have this print hanging on my living room

When my buddy was in California back in the early 80's, he had a chance to buy a set of 4 original Dali paintings for $800. He didn't and is still kicking himself.

14. You'll love the place - she's got a nice setup
Although the setup would be much nicer if she was back in Philly.

Oh well, ought to start planning my next trip to Tampa :D
