I know about having big ugly family blowouts...a couple years ago, I went to visit my half-sister and nephews for Labor Day, and got caught in this HUGE ugly fight between family members...it was hideous and awkward and I just couldn't wait to get out of there...
If you wanna talk, the door's open, I know all about family issues...mine wrote the book on them...we put the 'fun' in dysfunctional...
Anyway, suffice it to say, I am here.

I was invited to a great party with my cousins and

sisters and all the familly...

But I was too sick...

So for the first time in my life,

I spent Christmas alone...

And believe me I cried...a lot.

At least I didn't had an argument

with someone I love...

person (B)'s case the next time they see each other. Then person B is wondering what the hell did I do to him. Then there are people who just keep rubbing each other the wrong way and it gets worse each time. There are so many things and then there are those extremely high expectations of the holidays for the perfect Christmas. Put them all together and bam! When I was younger I would usually be let down by the holidays. Now I try to shrug it off because of the frantic nature and craziness of the holidays.
