If that happens, and Florida beats OSU in a close and messy game, Michigan may still have a claim to the title. Why can't Div 1A just do a playoff, cut out all this crap?

who run the bowls happy while attempting to have a national title game played on the field. I can't believe though that creative minds can't sit down and work out a solution agreeable to all parties. Michigan had their shot, but other teams like Oklahoma are playing as well as anyone, and that includes

Because it costs a lot of money to fly teams around
Because how would they decide who's the home team
Because this is just college football - doesn't mean anything (i.e., money) for anyone
