I have back taxes due on my house, a beat up truck, and a decent job. I'm always broke. For most households it now takes two incomes just to keep treading water. Time was when a good manufacturing job was enough for a family to live a pretty good life. It ain't that way no more, and I really don't know why there isn't a huge outcry about this.

7. Be broke enough times, you start to plan on how to avoid it.

Ok, it is called a budget. You know how much it sucks to be penniless. You plan your spending accordingly.

I know,I am a crusty old fart who doesn't know how to have fun. I guess part of the fun is being broke.

10. Just got the town and county tax bill.....

to the tune of $1200.00, trying to recover from Christmas spending (and didn't even spend that much), need a new stove (oven hasn't worked in about 3 months), and vehicle has 156,000 miles on it.

Sheesh...it never ends and there's never enough.:shrug:
