BlueIris's 2007 New Year's non-resolutions.
Edited on Mon Jan-01-07 05:49 PM by BlueIris
I'm not going to make resolutions this year, as I have never managed to keep even one single New Year's resolution that I've made...ever. In fact, I tend to do the opposite of what I resolve to do. This time, I'm making some, er, anti-resolutions, in the hopes that they will motivate me to actually accomplish some meaningful stuff during the next twelve months.

1. Work more unsatisfying, low-paying jobs in abusive, hostile work environments that make me feel like my $50,000 BA was a complete and total waste of my time and money.

2. Become depressed again, through poor eating, sleeping and exercise habits.

3. Tolerate shitty roommates some more. Maybe take on even shittier roommates.

4. Refuse to put proverbial house in order for at least another six months.

5. Do even more stressful, irritating volunteer work for Democrats I don't even like, while putting up with their free-loading campaign staff and lazy, self-interested voters.

6. Fail to nurture new-found sense of self-worth.

7. Forget to eat.

8. Post on DU more.

9. Spend even more time solving the problems of others for free.

10. Obsess about New Year's Resolutions left undone from this year and last.

There. Now, all I have to do is remember these and I should be set for a fantastic '07. Well, unless W. decides to do something even more berserk on the foreign policy front.
