A man crashed his pickup truck into a cemetery building in Church Hill after being shot. It’s a bizarre crime that still has police searching for answers. Police want to know who shot the man, and how he managed to drive himself to, of all places, a cemetery.

Around 5 p.m. Thursday his truck crashed into a building at the edge of Oakwood Cemetery near East Richmond Road. No one was in that building. The man driving the truck, though, got out immediately after the crash and witnesses could see that he had been shot.

They say he asked for help and collapsed before an ambulance took him away.

“He was conscious when they took him away,” said Kevin Schultz, who works nearby. “I hope he’s all right.”
